Heritage Management Services has plans for two new retirement facilities in west Omaha.

The Heritage at Legacy will be located at 168th Street and West Center Road and is expected to be completed by late 2014. The facility will include 46 independent living apartments, 53 assisted living apartments and 22 memory support suites.

“The hole we see in the population of the folks that need senior services like these is growing,” Heritage Management director of marketing Lori Paulsen said.

The second facility, also opening in 2014, is under construction at 127th and Pacific Streets in the Sterling Ridge development, formerly the Ironwood Golf Course. It will include 32 independent living apartments, 53 assisted living apartments and 22 memory support suites.

The two new facilities will hire about 160 people combined.

Heritage Management Services of Omaha manages seven senior living communities in Iowa and Nebraska and one in Surprise, Ariz.
